Partner class (couples pregnancy and birth class) usually takes place once every two months, when you can bring your husband/ partner, or birth partner. We explore yoga postures and breathing, together with massage, sound and
visualisations, and labour positions. Extra cushions are available for relaxation together. This has proved extremely popular, with some husbands coming to two different classes! If you cannot bring your husband or birth partner you will still get a lot out of the class, with practice breathing techniques and partnering with myself or another lady on some postures.
This class is also open to parents-to-be who are not on the six week course, at a cost of £25.00 per couple, space permitting. Please call for availability before booking.
A booking of six classes saves 20% on a single class booking. Second time booking saves a further 10%.

Yoga is union with the body and mind. Yoga is a very personal journey. It does not involve competition with others or with yourself. The yoga I teach is suitable for all levels.
Yoga is beneficial to everyone, and especially to those who tend to err on the competitive side of life, and who need to relax and get out of the race for a while. Regular yoga sessions can enable those with busy or stressful lifestyles to calm down and experience a feeling of peace, which then carries on into daily life. Please wear loose comfortable clothes which are not restrictive in any way. We will practise yoga in bare feet.
Sometimes it can be difficult within class settings to go within yourself and feel the deeply softening effects of your practice on your own body, especially if your class is in a gym with mirrors
or there are lots of students. It is very easy to compare yourself with other people, see how you differ from their posture or how far they can or cannot go, and then judge yourself based on your perceptions. In this case you may benefit more from a one to one personalised lesson.
If you feel that a one to one session would be more fruitful than a class setting, you will receive constant supervision and instruction on a personal level. Your postures will be tailored specifically to your needs and you will be encouraged to practice the sessions inbetween teachings if appropriate.

It's so important to learn the relaxation techniques, breathing & energizing techniques & positions that will help through labour. Caroline's antenatal yoga class has taught me some invaluable lessons on all fronts. “I first found out about Caroline's pregnancy yoga course through a friend. I was unsure as to what to expect but thought it was worth a try, as this was my first pregnancy. When I joined the class, Caroline made me feel at ease by explaining how to correctly carry out every yoga movement, how the actions were helping my body and at which stages of pregnancy or labour they could be used.
Caroline’s relaxed and calming nature and methods of teaching have helped me feel comfortable and grow in confidence throughout the pregnancy yoga sessions, as well as during my pregnancy. This is due to a better understanding of how my body is changing as my baby grows as well as learning some valuable techniques of how to relieve any aches or built up tension with a variety of yoga moves and positions.
The two yoga partner sessions were both educational and enjoyable. Both Steve and I found the practise contractions and various methods of relaxation, breathing techniques and positions extremely beneficial. We have practised a few of these at home and will continue to do so up until our ‘D-day’. Steve felt very comfortable to join in with the yoga positions as well as adding sounds to the movements – this was solely due to the welcoming, friendly and tranquil environment Caroline had created.
